If running away from life
could ease away the strife
I would have gone to Himalayas,
or to Kanyakumari.
But life makes you face
its turmoil and vicissitudes.
Where running away is not
the rule of the game
and problems have to be fought
with courage and fortitude.
But at times, I feel weak
Vulnerable and defenseless,
in front of life so impervious
that with cruelty and brutality
enjoys watching the sap of life
ebb drop by drop
by continuous and endless strife.
To win a battle with dharma
and morality
in a world where such concepts
seem to have vanished,
nowhere to be found
I like a die hard optimist
Still fight the life
with viciousness and spite.
